The South Tyrolean Young Farmers

Living tradition together

Since its foundation in 1969, the South Tyrolean Young Farmers – the largest youth organisation in South Tyrol – has been open not only to young people from farming backgrounds, but to all young people living in rural areas.

Through a wide range of initiatives, the South Tyrolean Young Farmers are committed to their home region. They promote the education and training of their members and are dedicated to active leisure activities, the preservation of culture and tradition, vibrant villages and the care of the landscape.

the largest youth organisation in South Tyrol

The South Tyrolean Young Farmers take a critical look at political and economic issues and play an active role in shaping them. Gender equality is particularly important to the organisation: since 1974, the SBJ has been jointly led by one man and one woman at local, district and provincial level.

Membership of the South Tyrolean Young Farmers is open to all young people between 14 and 35 years of age who are active in agriculture or considered friends of the farming community.
