The South Tyrolean Gardeners’ Association was founded on 18 November 1965. It sees itself as the representative body of gardening and horticultural businesses and is involved in training and further education, the design of trial programmes in the field of horticulture, as well as the organisation of events, exhibitions and joint marketing initiatives.
The provincial board consists of nine elected board members. Since June 2022, Stephan Kircher has headed the association as Provincial Chairman. He is supported by Valtl Raffeiner as Deputy Provincial Chairman. The provincial board appoints one representative to the Provincial Farmers’ Council and one to the national professional organisation.
